FREE CARBON MONOXIDE TESTING WHEN YOU GET YOUR DUCTS CLEANED

CARPET CLEANING

We use a Carbon Monoxide Detector which is a device that detects the presence of the carbon monoxide (co) gas to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning. Co is a colourless and odourless compound produced by incomplete combustion. It is often referred to as the "silent killer" because it is virtually undetectable without using detection techology. Symptons of mild acute poisoning include lightheadedness, confusion, headaches, vertigo, and flu like symtoms.Larger exposure can lead to significant toxicity of the central nervous system and heart, and even death. Carbon monoxide can also have severe effects on the fetus of a pregnant women.

Ducted System Cleaning Process

Step 1 - Clearing the Return Air Duct System
The majority of dust in your ducted system is usually found in the air return duct. This is because air is constantly sucked through the return grill and passes along the return duct to the heater. You may notice the return grill gets dusty over time. Well the build up of dust does not stop there!! The entire length of the return duct and the heater interior collect dust.

Billions of dust mites, bacteria and germs live in this dust and then get blown around your home from your ducted system causing itchy eyes, headaches and aggravating coughs, colds and respiratory problems such as asthma. It's very important that the entire length of the tube is thoroughly cleaned (not just a few feet from each end) so that all the dust, dust mites, germs, pollens etc are removed from the system.

We clean the air return grill and filter with high pressure air. We follow up by giving the air return grill a high pressure clean. A flexi brush is pushed
down the air return duct for cleaning purposes. After that, a duct ball is then pushed down into the air duct. It runs off compressed air and travels along
the duct dislodging debris and a powerful vacuum machine is used to dislodge and extract dust and debris.

Step 2 - Cleaning the Heating Unit Interior, Fan Blades and Motor
We open the heater/furnace and remove the fan. The fan blades, motor and cases are separated for cleaning. The fan blades, casing and motor are cleaned using an air gun. The heating channels and the interior walls of the heater are also cleaned using a teatree solution. This area is particularly important as an excess of dust can cause the fan to break down or worse, can cause the system to catch fire.

Step 3 - Cleaning and Checking all the Duct Lines
Each of the duct lines in your house are then individually cleaned. A special duct ball that runs on compressed air travels along the duct dislodging debris which is immediately removed from the home by a powerful electric vacuum system. We apply a special vent cover on each duct outlet not allowing any dust to escape into the room.

Step 4 - Sanitising the entire Duct System
After cleaning is complete we turn the heater on to check that the operation is normal. Then we apply "Bactigas" in the return air vent. (Bactigas is tea tree oil compressed as gas, and is a natural antiseptic.) The tea-tree flows along the return air vent into the heater and out through the duct lines and vents. This sanitises and deodorises the system. It prevents the build up of bacteria breeding, bad odours and reduces allergies.

Our company also provides filters for air return vent. Once the system is clean, the best way to prevent dust build up is to install a filter. We also mend damaged ducts and have a qualified electrician and gas fitter to service equipment.
